Hi guys, I live in Jerusalem specifically the old city. Infrastructure can barely get me any decent connection and there is no hope for optic fibre connection. My only hope is starlink satellite internet and I was super excited when they announced it would be available in 2024. Now I do not know if they actually want to provide it or if they just pushed the date. I already have a deposit by the way.
I read that Starlink is approved in Israel in Feb 2024, but under strict control and can only be acquired by approved government bodies and government approved organizations. Given the strict control I would guess that there would be strict geo fencing and all dishes would be having ids closely monitored. Would doubt that bringing in one from external to country would work.
