What if Major Davis had been the lead of SG1 instead of Mitchell in Season 9/10?

I always like Major Davis and I felt like he was an awesome recurring character. I actually like Mitchell, and by extension Ben Browder, but I've been thinking about characters that could have come back instead of introducing new ones during the final 2 seasons. Any other ideas?
