Storage wont show in inventory

Idk what I'm doing wrong, I have an outpost, I have the storage link that's SUPPOSED to be linked with my ship... have tons of containers of all kinds FILLED with resources, and only 8 show up when looking at my outpost through my ship inventory. Why? It used to have more then it seems like the more I built and stored, the less it shows. What am I doing wrong guys? I tried posting this and it was automatically deleted for being confusing? So this is my second attempt
