Update question: Will decorations stay if I change my home ship temporarily?

Pirating is my main way of making credits, so there is no point in putting suits on mannequins or decorating at all bc everything resets when I steal a new ship. Will the new update fix this so I can make a new ship my home ship to steal it quicker, then change to the original ship and it still have all my stuff in place? (Poorly worded)
