Is it just me but Starfield’s Space doesn’t feel dangerous?

Hear me out, I know that it sounds dumb, but think about:

combat feels a lot better than past Bethesda RPGS but NPCs still feel extremely bullet spongey, same for you, everyone is tanking dozens of bullets like it’s nothing. Like how are these people not depressurizing instantly killing them in the vacuum of space? I feel it adds to that NASA Punk aesthetic of every piece and material being really vulnerable, just inches of thin metal protecting you from the vast cold of space

that can be achieved with a simple gameplay tweak, but stuff I’d love to be seen added through mods or a survival mode, is having to patch up your suit with duct tape so you don’t depressurize, and having planets with glass rain storms where if you’re caught in it, you’re dead.

I truly love this game, I don’t want this to seem like I’m dunking on it because I’m not, I just think it would be a really cool direction to go in the future!

what do y’all think?
