I’d like to comment on a thread I saw from a while back. While I cannot find any references to tarkus, there was a knight serving under queen Mary with the surname bluford. However, that is where the legitimacy of the story ends (aside from Mary being imprisoned in a number of keeps, where she was treated well I might add, and her eventual beheading). I’d also like to add to a comment that Mary was cruel while Elizabeth was kind. Neither such case is correct. The simple facts are that both were pitted against each other for the crown of England. IMHO, neither queen wanted a feud, nor to be kind or cruel. However, conflicting political interests created one, where the “victor” (and I use that term lightly) yet again wrote history, depicting Mary as a villainous. Thankfully, ledgers and historical documents were being taken at this point and we are able to see both sides of the story. I encourage everyone to do some research on these events and form their own opinions on the matter, it’s truly a captivating tale.
