I've been playing a stardew valley world with my sister in this new update (1.6 I think it is?). I'm more of a "get as much money as possible" player who puts little thought into the aesthetics. Well now the community center is done, the ginger island boat has been built, and it's winter and we have 1.5 mil and growing every day we play. I've been seeing farms designed so cutely here and on Instagram and my sister also recently asked if we could "make our farm look pretty." I have no idea how to do that. I'm not asking necessarily what structures to put where but when decorating your farm, what are some things to keep in kind? Looking for all kinds of tips. Some of my main questions are: Where do you start in the decoration process? How do you know where to place paths? Are fruit trees worth the decoration if they'll die in winter? Does grass that animals can access always stay grown or can they eat it and it goes away, even if you have the clock? To what extent are crops decorative and actually utilized for profit? Are there any shops for decorative items/recipes besides Robin's? Also looking for your own tips and advice outside of my questions. In case you're curious, we have 2 barns and a chicken coop as well as a slime hutch, pond, 2 silos, and horse stable. Looking forward to hearing what you have to say!
