Can you recover deleted worlds in any way?

So basically I saw someone on YouTube do a glitch where he duped potatoes by filling his inventory and picking up an item and pressing "organize" in a chest, so I decided to delete the game file to get back to the original version and try it. But the files from the new versions were bad so I deleted them. One of them was my first world(I'm very new, got the game for Christmas), and I had a decent amount of progress. I'm reupdating the game now, is there any way to get that world back? Also, had I not deleted it, would it return to normal after I reinstall the update? Playing on PS4 btw
