I’m very new to this game. Barely in spring year 1. Why do we hate Clint?

I feel like he’s been really nice so far! I hate that he closes shop at 4pm. But other than that I don’t understand all the TikTok’s and posts. They do make me laugh! Why does he suck?

He's an unintentional nice guy(as in he says a lot of nice guy things, but it comes across to me like he just is too socially awkward to realize what he's doing is bad) and he was never updated when Emily was updated to be a marriage candidate, so they used to have a sort of closed off relationship, but now he's asking me to give a gem to my own wife on his behalf
