I have a unique, I assume, issue with trying to play in VR.
My PC is near the door to my small office, the Vive is set up in the larger adjacent room. It’s never been a problem, I just pull the headset into the Vive adjacent room and play.
Since Squadrons doesn’t use the Vive wands, I’ve been trying to use my XBox controller, which is plugged into my Steam Link in that room. I’ve done this for many non-VR games to play them on a TV in that room. Squadrons gives me a prompt saying something along the lines of ‘show Squadrons in Steam Link spectator mode?’ When I do that, I seem to lose control of the controller in the Link. If I plug the controller directly into my PC, it works... but I’m now not in the correct room for VR.
Is there a way for VR to use an Xbox controller via a Steam Link? Or do I need to just go buy a 20’ usb to string my controller from my PC? I’m eventually getting a hotas, but I feel like it’ll be under the same circumstances.
I’m so excited to okay this wonderful game! Thx everyone!
