Ok so this may or may it have spoilers but here are the theories I have developed after the first four episodes, forgive me they are not fleshed out yet but just going with my gut 😉

-Obviously Jod is the series equivalent of Long John Silver. He is definitely a villain with an ultimate soft spot for the kids, but will inevitably betray anyone to get to the treasure he seeks

-Wendle is the pirate captain who originally crashed the ship into At Attin. If the series continues with the Treasure Island connection, this Could be a Captain Flint type character

-Jod is a failed apprentice of Vader, he references his ashy home planet and shows some force sensitivity with the key trick

Or I am completely wrong, but either way this is so far my favorite Star Wars entry in a long time.
