My Empire At War Game Seems To Be Taking Up Way More Space Than It Should

Hey everyone! So I bought Empire Of War ages ago on Steam but didn't play it much until the other day when I redownloaded it. It said it would only take up about 3.65 GB out of the 45 GB I have in free storage. Yet when I download it it says I only have 11 GB left. I could have sworn I haven't downloaded anything extra to it, and I now don't have enough space to download Republic At War on the Steam Workshop.
Has anybody else encountered these problems? What should I do?
