As far as I've seen the post EU "Canon" releases are a cesspool of bad writing and fanfic tier misunderstandings of the Lucas canon.
Do these novels get prescreened by the story group before release?
Does the story group still exist and if so, are they toothless with regards to their capability to push back against the author of the novel?
Is there any particular novel that stands out in quality or execution. The Zahn Thrawn collection is ok and his internal consistency is rock solid, but doesn't have the magic of the original Thrawn trilogy.
