Just rewatched The Last Jedi and I noticed at the end that when Rey is holding the broken lightsaber and asking how they’ll rebuild the Resistance, Leia puts her hands on Rey’s hands the saber and says “we have everything we need right here”; in this scene Leia‘s ring with a big honking blue gem is very prominent.
There are a lot of loaded scenes in this movie where the words and the visuals have an additional meaning. This struck me and I’m not sure if anyone else has noticed this, or if I’m over thinking it.
