Space Suburbs?! Aliens speaking Basic?!

Post Body

Of course! Why wouldn’t there be? I’m seeing a lot of people taken aback by the existence of a “normal” looking environment. But I think that’s the point.

From what the trailer shows us, our heroes are a group of young kids living in a boring town and wishing for adventure. If they lived in any other type of community we’ve previously seen in Star Wars they’d be surrounded by adventure on a daily basis.

In a galaxy filled with countless planets, one of them was bound to have suburbs.

“Alien” kiddo speaking basic…why not? If they were raised on that planet why wouldn’t they be able speak and understand basic? Or maybe they have technology that allows translation.

Edit: cute little youngling is not identified as Ortolan.

This criticism reminds me of the “Andor has screws and bricks” some jabaroni said to discredit the show.
