Droid building and help

i am not sure if this is allowed but i was wondering if anyone here does droid building as i am looking for help and advice.
i want to get into droid building and build my own chopper droid and pit droid but i am not sure where to start or even get the parts. i do not have a 3d printer or the space to put one . i have tried to look for groups but havent found any on chopper droids or pit droids. was wondering if anyone could help
