Question about Rieekan
Post Body

A buddy of mine and myself were testing our lists for our second time around the Corellian Conflict, and I had a question come up. He had Biggs and Wedge in a fighterball, and I had "killed" Biggs. While he was at 0 hit points, he was still on the table per Rieekan's special ability. With my next fighter, I attacked Wedge, who had 2 HP left. My buddy assigned the damage to the 0 HP Biggs, by using Biggs ability. As it was a friendly game we just moved on from there, but I'm still curious about this going forward. I'm assuming this probably came up at World's, so if someone knows how it was ruled there it would probably clear this up. Having come from 40K, I'm accustomed to units not being able to have more damage allocated to them than their maximum. IE if I have a 5 wound model, and someone does 6 wounds to it, it still only suffers 5 as it cannot take more damage than it has HP.

The FAQ states that "These ships and squadrons can suffer additional damage from resolving effects such as Ruthless Strategists." I'm assuming Biggs's ability falls under this category? It just seems odd that if I have Biggs I can put ALL damage on a single x-wing, effectively cancelling out my opponents fighters.

Anyway, thanks for reading, and if anyone can point me to a ruling on this I'd appreciate it.
