These are once again my thoughts and I would like to hear what everyone has to say. I have yet to see The Rise of Skywalker and I do plan on writing a review for it here. Seeing the reviews that the movie is a bit disheartening. But I will try and not let this get me down as I am still very excited to see the film tomorrow. I probably will see what is wrong with it but I know down in my heart that I will enjoy it. That is because it is Star Wars which is something that I and a lot of others hold dear to our hearts.
Star Wars at its core will always be about the fight between good and evil. No matter how well it is written or what era it takes place in Star Wars will always be about the fight between good and evil. Some parts of Star Wars are loved by all while other parts might get some hate and then there are parts that nobody loves. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion as it is a right that we all should have. It is fine to get defensive about something you love. But it should be worth noting that the writers of these stories are trying to tell their story in the best way that they can, if something bad happens then it is a mistake. Nobody is trying to destroy Star Wars. No matter what happens they are not making it bad on purpose.
While I personally loved both TFA and TLJ and am confident that I will love TROS I still believe that Disney, should have had a better plan for the sequel trilogy. It apparently really shows in TROS and tomorrow I will see if this is true. But the point is they should have had a plan for this trilogy. While everyone is entitled to their own opinion I personally believe that this whole trilogy could have been worse. I see it as a trilogy that shows us why we love Star Wars and acts as a tribute to the franchise in some way. I know that at some point there will be a book about the making of this trilogy and what happened behind the scenes and I am sure it will be an interesting read. No matter what happened during the making of the sequel trilogy I think we should all be happy that it allowed a new generation of fans to be introduced and fall in love with Star Wars and for this I am very happy.
To end this very long intro into a discussion I would like to say regardless of the reviews I am still excited to see The Rise of Skywalker because at its core its the same good vs evil story that we all know and love. I am curious to see what will happen to the Star Wars franchise in the future as I know that as long as there are people out there who love it then, it will live on. You don't have to like The Rise of Skywalker and that is okay at least we got to see more Star Wars regardless of whether it was good or bad because its nice to see our beloved galaxy get bigger with new stories and characters.
Regardless of what you think about the film I hope we can all agree that we love Star Wars and I look forward to reading what your thoughts are on everything.
May the force be with us all.
