I know Lucasfilm, Disney and Abrams are claiming that The Rise of Skywalker is the "end of the Skywalker saga". I think that's hard to believe. I mean... Come on. Lucas claimed for seven years that Episode III was his way to complete (end) the saga, and today it's known that he was working on his sequels until he sold Lucasfilm.
"The Rise of Skywalker" sounds more like a set up for more than a last chapter. I can't imagine that IX is the last time we see Rey, Finn and Poe. Maybe they'll show up in Disney shows. Maybe not. Maybe they'll be the Legacy-characters of a new generation of fans in 15 to 20 years...

An Episode X would be pointless without it being apart of the Skywalker Saga. Any further films in this episodic series should be Skywalker, otherwise make a different string of episodes
