Are books and comics 100% canon?

I’m thinking of starting the canon books and comics, but the one thing kinda holding be back is: is it 100% canon?

Yes i know it doesn’t have to be canon for me to enjoy it something, but I’m a canon reader/viewer type of person.

It has been said multiple times that all of these medias are canon, but there have been a couple times books and comics were retconned (like the Kanan comics, or the Ahsoka book). So how much are they actually a part of canon? Should i read something expecting that it may get retconned someday?
