Potentially a dumb question but I just picked it up rewatching the Clone Wars series

Why is Anakin addressed in most occasions on a variety of worlds as "master Jedi"? Is it just courtesy of these people or is it assumption? Also why does no one (even Obi-Wan) correct them?
Side note: there has to be some explanation because they never address Ahsoka this way
