Mirror matches in gauntlet?

Does anyone else feel like mirror matches are heavily biased against you? Even with a 100 pt lead vs a lesser equipped mirror match seems to lose much more often than not.
How do you guys feel about them and what's your strategy for dealing with them?
My MJLP and mirror phlox are FE of course but they feel like their only purpose is to stomp noob cards which always sucks because it feels like such a waste. Then they are fatigued and stand zero chance against the legions of said cards.
