The Discovery never returns to it's universe

The spore drive is never used or mentioned again..
Federation ships are still unable to detect a cloaked Klingon ship...
Therefore I theorized that the Discovery never returns home, deemed lost by Starfleet, spore drive tech is never effectively reproduced without the research and findings of Discovery and the Glenn, and thus remained classified and forgotten.
