I grew up watching the original series with my dad, he bought them on DVD to show me since he loved it so much as a kid when it was on syndication in the 70's and 80's. As I got older it always stayed my favorite anime, and I made a great effort to find as many of the movies on DVD as I could to know the full story. I have a copy of every movie (including the live action, lol) except for Final Yamato, and Yamato rebirth/resurrection or whatever you want to call it. Personally I couldn't get into the newer remakes because a big part of my love for the series comes from the classic retro anime vibes of the OG. I just wanted to hear any opinions about any series or Movie, I have never met a single person in real life who is into anime and actually knows Yamato. Thanks
