This sub seems to be more active - I've been a long time standing desk user at the office, where I converted regular IKEA tables by using risers and a 2nd handmade level. Here's what it generally looked like when I first built them: http://i.imgur.com/zt47pRb.jpg (ghetto solutions are the best!)
At home, I ended up just stacking a desk hutch? not sure what you call it, shown here: http://i.imgur.com/2IRWC63.jpg (picture is old, but shows the general idea).
I used server room tiles and a fatigue mat to bring the ground up to the proper height, since the desk itself wasn't adjustable. This has worked well so far, but I feel like I should get a proper upgrade while still remaining in the relative DIY realm.
Here's what I'm considering and I'd really appreciate some feedback. (Note that I am in Canada and my options are a bit more limited because all the recommended places with dual motors and great service would cost too much with shipping, duties and piss poor exchange rate - if you do have links though, feel free to share them)

I really wanted a dual motor frame, but I think I'll have to accept a single centered motor. I'm not sure how big a difference it makes besides the speed and weight. From what I gathered from the site reviews and the Amazon reviews, it doesn't seem to wobble when extended, but the motor is fairly loud (not really an issue for me). Anyone have experience with something similar?
I mainly just want to make sure that my 3x 27" monitors will be able to be attached with their extension arms without compromising the desk stability and speed. Besides the speakers and some cable management under the table, I don't expect it will have to support much else.
