So I'm looking for a standing desk under $500. I'm 5'7 and plan to purchase just the frame, as I already have a countertop.
I've come across a few brands but am getting the impression that almost every YouTube review is sponsored (sending to try counts for me), especially for the Flexi Spot. Reddit threads seem less biased but I have my skepticism with some of the posts.
In any case, I'm just after genuine recommendations and reviews for standing desks in this price range.
The desk will be placed on a carpet and I'm slightly concerned about excessive wobble. I don't plan to use the desk at maximum height and my monitor is on an arm attached to the desk. I have a heavy keyboard and the countertop is pretty heavy too, so I'm hoping this will help alleviate some inevitable wobble that will come with any standing desk.
I try and avoid buying twice and prefer to future proof if it means spending a bit more.
Would love to hear your recommendations!
