Lost words beyond the page; can't play

I bought my daughter this game. We have a Google pixel slate. We are able to play other stadia games fine. However we're not able to get past the launch screen on this game. We can't select play or options or anything.
We have a Bluetooth keyboard and a pen. No mouse.
Any help would be appreciated.
