We are closing in on this year's election - absentee voting has started! Every registered voter is allowed to vote by mail in this year's election.
If you haven't yet registered to vote, you can still register until October 7. The last day to request an absentee or mail-in ballot is October 21. Absentee and mail-in ballots must be received by your election authority on Election Day, November 3. Don't wait until the last minute on these deadlines - make sure your vote gets counted!
One of our volunteers at The Notary Project put together this excellent guide to voting by mail in St. Louis and St. Louis County. Please feel free to pass this guide along and help us eliminate some of the confusion around mail-in voting.
Finally, just a quick reminder about The Notary Project - since most people who vote by mail will need to have their ballot notarized, we formed a team of notaries to make this process as easy as we can for people! We will be popping up at events throughout the area in October, and if you can't make it out to an event, you can request an appointment through our website to have a notary come directly to you. Our team is very passionate about making voting easier and safer, and I can't thank them enough. We are honored to help you vote!
If you have any questions about mail-in voting or this year's elections, please ask! I'll try to answer if I can or point you to the right resources.
