Any good places to take piano lessons around here? Having a hard time finding one!
Post Body

I've been with my current teacher for about five months, and it's just not working out. I just feel like I'm not learning anything from him. Every week, he has me play out of a beginner's book, and half the time I see him checking his phone or something while I'm playing. I can't remember the last time I really got any feedback on my playing technique. I specifically told him I wanted to learn theory and composition, but not even a single major scale has been mentioned yet. I just feel like I'm wasting my money at this point.

Does anyone know any good places to take lessons around here? I'm in the St. Peters area, but I'm fine driving just about any distance if the teacher is good. Most of my experience on the piano is self-taught. I have about 2.5-3 years of experience right now, and I'm wanting to break into music composition. That's always been my main goal on the piano, I just can't seem to teach that to myself for some reason. I tried searching Craigslist, but couldn't seem to find anything.
