During the media scrum he was asked about the rumours of Orange getting new theme music, back to what he used on the indies.

Tony said that it was unfortunate that it was leaked. He’s learnt that, “we have less than 100 people at AEW, with things like Brodie, when it’s life and death I can trust everyone. But when it’s just a fun thing that would be a surprise for the fans, someone opens their mouth and can spoil it for them”.

He also said that they don’t even yet have the full rights to the song, so whilst it was hoped to happen, it couldn’t realistically happen. He has 97.5% of the rights, but someone who owns the remaining rights is still negotiating. He said he spoke with Sean after the leak and said that it’s been reported without him being able to refute it, and it’s not true.

So because of the leak, and misreport, people are disappointed in something that logistically would never have happened.

He did say, eventually, they hope to secure the rights and give the fans a nice surprise at the right moment for Orange.
