What was the plan for "Bobby's Sisters"!?

I'll never forget how much I just stared at my TV after seeing that Renee Young interview with Bobby Lashley where the main focus was on Lashley growing up with 3 sisters and he ended the interview by thanking them.

Me, like most I'm sure, were like "Ummmmm.. what the fuck!?"

Does anyone happen to know what the actual plan was though!? I mean, WWE turned it into Sami Zayn bringing out guys dressed in drag pretending to be Lashleys sisters but I highly doubt that was the plan...right?

Did WWE actually have some stupid story thought out that would have included 3 females who were "Bobby's Sisters"? Or was the plan go go the route they did with Zayn?

This has bugged me for a looooong long time. Lol
