This is me speculating just based on rumors here and there. But I think the reason Triple H didn’t get to run Raw or Smackdown comes down to this.

There is a big possibility that NXT might broadcast on FS1. As a 2 hour show. On Wednesday’s. Pretty much against AEW.

8 new wrestlers are now being called up to NXT TV on that tournament. They have the roster even by bringing back a couple of Raw or Smackdown guys doing little to nothing. There is enough there for a 2 hour show and 6 Match PPVs.

So if you think about it. Who better than NXT and Triple H to try and take viewers from AEW.

At least that would be my move if I was in their position. Get my main roster running on all cylinders. Plus put something that hardcore fans like at the same time as this new competition.
