I was a Austin Podcast fan from day one, never missed one, until he started peddling that "Fix your PC magically" crap software.
I've been in the industry for more than twenty years, have worked for companies I thought were great, till they realised that crap sells to the unknowing and it's MONEY, and have had to deal with the ruined computers and credit card problems that customers suckered into purchasing that crap has to deal with.
I literally get sick to my stomach when I hear him saying people should go buy it.
It may be a small thing to someone who doesn't know, but having dealt with people in tears cause it fuxored their computer, or people who have been billed endlessly after calling and complaining, I really can't listen to anything he says after that.
These companies are just using legaleese to avoid the FCC locking them down, the job I had before this current one, a job where we were told we would be repair techs, the company told us that we really are a support system for one of these scam companies, and told us words we were not to use, because two other companies around that do the same thing got shut down and raided.
I left after two days.
This is just my long way of saying, as much as I love the Podcast, I have too many bad and bitter memories of people robbed and taken advantage of to listen to it while he supports them.
P.S
I think I need to edit this to say I am not blaming him at all. He doesn't strike me as an immoral person nor a crook.
It's probably just a matter of them waving cash and giving a song and dance about how awesome they are.
I just am very very well informed about how they do business.
p.s. 2 Thanks for the gold whomever you are. It's appreciated.
