I'm listening to JR's latest podcast, and as of late, he's been saying "internet fans" who are, I am assuming, "smarks" are a bunch of crying whiners.
He says everything is slow burn, and they (the internet fans who are very vocal) are a bunch of young men who basically have no clue about wrestling and how it works, and that we (I am one) take it too seriously.
He also says they like to throw around words like "Push" like they know what it really means.
He also says there is no such thing as being held back, because it's all about the money, and no promoter would hold back a draw.
Now, while he has valid points, I've honestly read and heard from the lips of former wrestlers many many times, stories of people who were held back, and people who were pushed for me to take what he is saying for as gospel.
He also says he would prefer that the Wyatts and the Shield be broken up, because they will make more money as singles wrestlers.
I also don't see why, just like in the golden age of the Horsemen, that they can't continue to exist as a faction.
They don't need to be a three-man tag, they can be a faction, like the Avengers or Justice League who come together when needed and help each other out, and feud together, along with the drama of the internal dynamics of their dueling personalities.
As a matter of fact, since he saying wrestling is all about a slow burn, those factions longevity should be very long slow burns.
edit: clarification
I'm not saying I hate JR or he sucks at all. I am saying my impression is that he thinks we don't know anything at all, and should be satisfied with the state of the product and take it without complaint, and I think that attitude is not correct any more.
