Many wondered how AEW were going to manage having two huge ppvs in back to back weeks. The answer has been simple and has actually enhanced the unpredictability and flow of the weekly shows:
Interweaving storylines.
Or more specifically, multiple storylines per top star.
Almost every top star in AEW right now has multiple storylines. So much so, that they already have builds for seperate All In AND All Out cards.
Wrestler | All In Match | (Potential) All Out Match |
---|---|---|
MJF | Adam Cole | Roderick Strong, CM Punk |
Adam Cole | MJF | Roderick Strong, The Kingdom |
Kenny Omega | Konosuke Takeshita, Jay White, Juice Robinson | Bullet Club Gold, Konosuke Takeshita (one on one) |
Konosuke Takeshita | Kenny Omega, Hangman Page, Kota Ibushi | Chris Jericho, any of those three in a singles match |
Chris Jericho | Will Ospreay | Konosuke Takeshita, Any of the JAS |
CM Punk | Samoa Joe | Ricky Starks, Jay White, MJF, Ryan Nemeth |
Darby Allin | Swerve Strickland, AR Fox | Christian, Luchasaurus, Either Swerve or AR one on one |
The Young Bucks | FTR | Bullet Club Gold |
Bullet Club Gold | The Elite (Omega & Hangman & Ibushi) | CM Punk, FTR, The Young Bucks |
House of Black | Either the Acclaimed or Andrade El Idolo (and maybe friends?) | Whichever one they don't face at All In |
Not to mention the endless combinations of matches that could come out of the current BCC mystery friends v. Death Triangle, Best Friends, Eddie Kingston.
Dynamite and Collision have felt much more unpredictable in recent weeks and it is because everyone has their head on a swivel!
