Vermiculite for Mel's Mix: Coarse vs Super Coarse?

So I'm trying to get my components together to make Mel's Mix for my garden bed this year. Unfortunately I've had a devil of a time finding vermiculite in any decent quantity. I was finally able to find it at an online retailer for a reasonable price but they're out of coarse with availability TBD. They do however have super coarse in stock.
So, has anyone tried super coarse vermiculite and if so, what were your results? Any problems I may run into using the bigger stuff?
