“Connecting…”issue

Hey y’all! I’m loving the game so far, but recently I encountered an issue where my game is stuck in a state of “connecting…” and I can’t join a match or party up with friends. My friend can see me online but it says I’m in a match. No amount of closing/restarting the game has fixed the issue so far. Any thoughts on how one might fix this?
