Trailer wiring harness for my 2020 is >$800 because of control units, kit etc? What? Lol

Plus it needs to get wired to the front? This was all told to me at my MB dealer.
- Is this the case?
- If so, is there a workaround that is safe?
- I’m just moving and wanted a uhaul and it’s now looking like this is crazy expensive compared to shipping my items.
