Family Plan Owner Passed Away - Able To Branch Off Family Plan?

Post Body

Hi Everyone! The mainline owner on my family plan passed away in Feb 2020. Now that things have calmed down with the pandemic a bit, we are trying to figure out the phone lines on the family plan. We have a total of 5 lines when we include the line of the deceased.

Am I able to branch off from the Family Plan and keep my own line/number with Sprint? The account owner isn't alive to authorize anything and we don't have any death certificates to send over. If they pulled her credit they would see we already notified Social Security that she is deceased though.

I figure my other option could be to branch off my line with another carrier. My fear is, Sprint/Tmobile would cancel the entire family plan when I do this and mess things up for the other 4 users in the midst of everything thing. Sprint mentioned being able to roll off lines before with a credit pull and if you have better credit than the account holder they would do it. Not sure how this works with the Tmobile merger and the account holder is deceased though.

I am trying to branch off overall because one of the line holders never pays on time and is always a month behind. I'd rather jump ship before it gets worse as opposed to later. Thanks for any insight!
