So I bought Spore just yesterday, it was on sale and I figured why not.

Trying to set up a spore account, I got a message saying the system had no record matching by submitted name and password (paraphrasing), which was a little odd as I was trying to CREATE an account. However, I have an EA/origin and figured I'd try to log in with that, changed my password to fit the Spore limits, but that didn't work either, tried to log in on the spore website (see image), no luck. Anyone have a solution to this? I've done some googling and steam reviews seem to indicate this is a common problem, not unique to me, so I suspect there isn't a solution yet.
