Question about "Pressure treating"
Post Body

Have any of you experimented with using a vacuum chamber to treat your spoons with mineral oil? Was it effective?

My thought is to use the biggest pvc pipe i can find and put a one way valve on it. Then leave 6 inches of headspace above my mineral oil. In turn, it would decrease the hands on time necessary for finishing spoons, spatulas, etc. Theoretically I could load it up. Remove the air, walk away until morning, and come back to a treated spoon.

Thoughts?

I'm using olive oil mostly coconut oil for some larger projects both work quite well, and are way easier to find than beech seed oil who does wonders but is basically a unicorn. Pressure treatment should be an idea,I'd be interested in your results!
