Anyone else come across people resistant to self awareness/reflection?
Post Body

Sometimes on social media sites like Reddit or Facebook I run into these people. I try to just ask a rhetorical question just to get people to think. It's not even that deep but some people act like I'm smoking something. I just merely ask or post to get people to think about how they interact with others. Yet I get resistance and people hate it. You hold up a mirror for people to look at and they don't like it. They refuse to look at themselves, mock/deflect, or just outright smash the mirror. It distresses me that people want to walk about numb and apathetic. You know go about their days "asleep" living each day the same way. I just... I can't live like that. I can't make anyone do anything they don't want to. I can only control myself and the things I do, say, and think. Anyone else feel frustrated by this? You just want to help change the world even just a little by changing people's awareness yet people fight back. I don't get it but I can't force change.
