Writing this bc I want to hear if anyone else has experienced customers like this. Closing the store and there was a guy who wouldn’t leave. He asked dozens of questions about the animatronics, wanted his name down for everything ISE related, and kept asking personal details which I denied to answer. Then he asked which animatronic was my favorite and considering the store was closed and I needed him to leave, I just answered “Honestly? They kind of freak me out, so none of them really.”
He looked dumbfounded by my answer and responded with shock that I could possibly dislike animatronics. Then he went on about the setup he was going to have, how many of each one he was going to buy, and which ones he preferred over the others. Granted, this man hasn’t bought a single thing the entire time and left without buying any of them. I guess that was a future goal, not a current one. But before he left he asked if I would consider adopting one and I said “nah I’m good. You seem to really love them though, I’m sure they’ll look great in your yard.”
To which he responded with the most offended tone that he wouldn’t dream of putting them in his yard because they were all going in his house. He then said that he’d put them all in his room if he could, and then- I kid you not- he said he’d put them in his bed if he could. This grown man, old enough to be my father, looked me in the eye and said he’d sleep with them if he could. And then he left. First year at Spirit and honestly hating every second of it lmao.
