Had MRI. Have cervical stenosis. How can I address pain with neuro who only wants to prescribe meds. ?
Post Body

Was in an accident in Dec. Severe neck pain a month later. Going to PT. Taking pain med for spasms. Had an MRI.

Results below.

The meds and PT only help temporarily. Going to see neurologist Weds. How should I address the pain and get him to elevate treatment?

I get headaches and have sleeping issues. Take meds for both. Right arm is very numb and my hand and handwriting is clumsy / bad.

I think a shot sounds like it will help.

Didn't have this pain prior to accident. He said it's degenerative. Not taking me seriously.

Cervical spondylosis as outlined, most notable at C5-6 where there is mild spinal canal stenosis and moderate to severe bilateral foraminal stenosis.

C3-C4: Minimal narrowing of the spinal canal due to disc osteophyte complex. Moderate left foraminal narrowing due to uncovertebral spurring.

C4-C5: Minimal narrowing of the spinal canal due to disc osteophyte complex. Mild left foraminal narrowing due to uncovertebral spurring.

C5-C6: Mild narrowing of the spinal canal due to disc osteophyte complex. Moderate to severe bilateral foraminal stenosis due to uncovertebral and facet hypertrophy
