I’ve noticed that during the stealth portions that the enemies can spot you even if you are above them. Which never happened in the first game.
I like perch takedowns so what I usually do is position myself above the enemy (and if there’s multiple) then use a distraction to lure their buddy away so I can take down the person. But often times when I’m above them and trying to hit an object to distract the person will see me. With miles it’s easier since I can just turn invisible but with Peter the only option is to zip away but often times I panic and end up jumping down instead of zipping away.
This happens especially when the enemies group up. Do I just have to stand a bit away from them (instead of right above them) to do the distractions because I did try that and it did work a lot better.
Also just how does the stealth AI work in general because there are times where I’m walking along my web lines, pipe, or whatever and I get spotted, the enemies aren’t grouped. They just see me walking above them. There’s that one stealth portion during the rescue tombstone mission that took me 3 try’s cause I wanted to stealth the entire thing but kept getting spotted by this one enemy. I wasn’t directly above her I was walking towards her on my line and was spotted. Am I just not high enough?
At first I thought it was enemies with guns/crossbows since they have scopes and look up, but I noticed it was the melee enemies that could spot me as well, but the melee/generic enemies don’t typically see me unless they’ve grouped up and I’m directly above them hitting a distraction.
Just trying to figure out how the AI works so I can do the stealth parts actually stealth since I really like stealth stuff lol.
