I don't understand why people are having such harsh reactions to SM2 not winning an award. The Game of the Year awards aren't to tell people what is definitively and objectively the best game all year but to tell you this is what the grand populous felt about all the games this year. Just because the majority of players thought Baldurs Gate was better doesn't take away from your own enjoyment of Spiderman 2 and it doesn't mean that every other game nominated sucks, nor does getting a game award mean that the game deserves zero criticism. The point here is that just because we didn't win an award doesn't mean insomniac made a bad game or that the story sucked it just means that in the majority's opinion, there was a better game.
