raimi movies mj is just the absolute worst. she doesn't do anything redeeming in any of the movies. she juggles this love triangle with harry and peter, also being separately in love with spiderman before she knows he is peter. she makes everything about her problems and constantly needs peter to validate her (which on its own would be okay) but then doesn't accept his validation and also never emotionally validates him. it seems like her character only exists to cause peter more complications/issues. and she's really jealous that spiderman is getting all of this attention instead of her. there's many many more things she does that just make me not like her to the point that I avoid watching the movies because of her .

and then mj from the ps4 spiderman game. I love this game btw as a ps4 user this is my fav game at the moment. anyways ur introduced to mj with her sneaking into a museum to get evidence for the Daily Bugle (where she is a journalist). and you(peter) immediately have to save her from a gang that is also invading the museum. she gets mad at you for saving her and you learn that her and peter actually broke up a while ago due to her feeling like he was saving her too much and "babying" her. she continues to do things like this throughout the game and tells peter not to bother her, but everytime there's danger, she calls him to rescue her. and then gets mad when he does? her character almost doesn't make sense. with how much she sneaks into Fisk hideouts, active hostage situations, etc, she should be dead. even with peter saving her all the time. then she sneaks into a Sabel outpost and almost gets killed, peter saves her again and she gets so mad that she stops talking to him UNTIL she needs him again. she uses him for her job at the bugel, since he's spiderman he can help her get an inside scoop on literally every major event/crime that happens in new york. she literally uses him for information and to save her life when she's sneaking in somewhere to get information. all she cares about is her job at the Bugle, she literally doesn't care about peter at all.

i love mj as a character, all of the comic versions of mj are beautiful. but these two are horrendous. okay rant over 🖤
