It just occurred to me that these comics can still be good! All you need to do is pretend that you're really reading Ben Reilly pretending to be Peter Parker. The real Peter and MJ moved away, Doctor Strange did something like the No Way Home spell (but however different it needs to be), and Ben is taking Peter's place.
Don't question why Ben is stupid now. He's a resurrected clone, he's been through a lot.
