I mainly mean Miguel, Peter B, and Gwen.
They got a lot of shit thrown at then after the movie, not all undeserved, like yikes.
For the life of me, I can't see that they did anything outrageously wrong. Other than lying to Miles, though let's he fair, Miguel did not lie.
Peter B and Gwen were advocating for Miles that entire movie, it breaks my soul to see their falling out with Miles. Good job writers.
I see the ones with Miguel mainly as antagonists rather than villains, cause they are trying to protect people. I see it like a Spidey PS4 situation where May told Pete to avoid giving her the cure to the virus. Many more than her would be dead, and we all saw how Peter very much wanted to dump the antidote into her IV.
Just for clarification, I am on Miles side. I see him and Miguel like how Vampire Diaries described Stefan and Damon for Elena. Stefan/Miguel is the safe option or rather the option that will always work and be good. Miles/Damon will always be the option that will bring about the worst or best case scenario. Heck, even Miguel seems to question his own methods when Gwen calls them out on being good guys.
I think the next movie will come up with a mix of a Miles and Miguel solution, cause it did not particularly feel as if Miguel was being set up to be completely wrong.
Lastly, I've seen people online talk about Peter B and Gwen's redemption arc next movie. Weirdly doesn't feel like redemption considering what exactly they were doing the whole movie, plus the added part of killing an entire multiverse of you break canon. I think it will be more of coming to an understanding and making up sort of thing. Mainly because I stan Miles x Gwen hard.
Well, that's my thing outta the way, what do you think?
