I have such a hard time with meeting people. 90% of my relationships were long distance with people I met online. But I really want to be with someone in person again.
I can't really leave the house on my own and I have really limited cognitive energy, so I can only manage 1 major outing each week or so. I don't really know how to find people, much less find people that would be interested in me and understanding of my disability.
I also worry that I will miss social queues when people are interested (throwback to the time someone asked if I wanted to go out and my reply was "sure, where do you want to go?" ðŸ˜) and that people might view me as childish & not be able to think of me as a potential partner.
How did you find your partner (or partners for my fellow poly folks) and how were they about understanding your autism symptoms?
